Managing stress and preventing burnout in high demand CS roles

Thursday 19th March 2026

5.30pm – 7.30pm

Food and Drink Provided.

St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge CB4 0WS

Customer Success roles are demanding in ways that aren’t always visible. They’re fast paced, can be dependent on other teams and systems you don’t control, and place you squarely in the line of client pressure when things don’t go to plan. You’re juggling competing priorities, changing deadlines and often acting as the buffer between frustration and resolution, while still being expected to perform at a consistently high level.

This session explores how to perform sustainably in high demand roles without burning out. Drawing on neuroscience and real world experience, you’ll learn how stress actually works in your brain and body, why pushing through isn’t the answer, and what you can do practically and immediately to regulate pressure, protect your energy, and stay effective for the long term.

What you’ll take away –

  • A clear understanding of how stress and pressure affect your nervous system, decision making and performance
  • Practical, in the moment tools to regulate stress and calm your nervous system during demanding days
  • Early warning signs of burnout and how to intervene before exhaustion sets in
  • Simple strategies to create sustainable performance, not just short term productivity
  • Insight into how your own regulation and boundaries influence others
